Meet our Team

Dr. del Pino grew up in Tennessee and moved to Florida in 1996 where she started working in wild bird rehabilitation in Tavernier with Laura Quinn. After her experience there she decided that to better help the birds she needed to go to Veterinary School. Dr. del Pino will always be grateful to Laura for her experience there and for being an inspiration to further her education. Dr. del Pino finished her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology. She then attended Veterinary School in the Cayman Islands, St. Matthew’s University where she was fortunate enough to have received a vast amount of exotic animal experience. She had her clinical year at the University of Illinois and did a year internship in wildlife medicine at C.R.O.W, The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife on Sanibel Island. After her internship, she began work at Banfield Pet Hospital and was there for 2.5 years until she received a position in Marathon with Dr. Mader. “I feel fortunate that I was able to move here and work with such wonderful people and be able to learn from everyone.”

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and received my bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Georgia in 2013. I also attended veterinary school at UGA with a mixed animal area of emphasis as I love working with animals of all species. Before veterinary school I worked at CROW Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife and as a veterinary assistant at MVH. Throughout veterinary school, I volunteered with several organizations worldwide, including Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand, Floating Doctors in Panama, and Tenikwa Wildlife Centre in South Africa, where I was able to work with local veterinarians and provide care for dogs, cats, and wildlife.

I have a passion for internal medicine, integrative medicine, and exotic animal medicine. I am CVA certified with the Chi Institute and have already begun incorporating acupuncture and herbal therapies into treatment plans for my patients with painful chronic and/or neurologic diseases.

Outside of veterinary medicine, I love traveling around the world, hiking, kayaking, and scuba diving. I have only one pet (surprisingly)- a ball python named Leela.
